**OUT NOW** MOGUAI - PUNX Up The Volume - Mix Compilation

MOGUAI released his new artist mix compilation at the 30th of October 2009 on Ministry of Sound.
The compilation is called "PUNX Up The Volume" and will transport the typical MOGUAI sound incl. tracks by Mark Knight, Funkagenda, D Ramirez, Wippenberg, Funkerman and many own productions and remixes by MOGUAI to name only a view.

PUNX more vivid than ever! Why don't you see for yourself on the new CD compilation "PUNX UP THE VOLUME" by mastermind Moguai? It's named after the podcast series that won the innovation award and has gathered countless fans worldwide.
Consequently, Moguai - a DJ, producer and creative mind - came up with an extended top sound mix with extra special treats: "The mix contains several of my own tracks that I haven't played so far. The artwork and the whole appearance of this compilation were very important to me. It exceeds the expectations of the brand 'Punx Up The Volume' by far ", says Moguai, who travelled through many new countries these past months gaining new and refreshing insight.
Asia - and the guest performances in Japan especially - were a great inspiration for him and the USA are more and more interested in his music which is not limited to his work a as a DJ and producer.
"Punx is not only the name of the label on which I release so much of my own music and exciting work from other artists. Punx is a lifestyle, an attitude towards life based on music, of course. But it is so much more than that", he explains.
Then he brings it to the point: "The artwork on this CD compilation is just a small part of the complete Punx design. I also created five T-shirts that express this design and are just as much part of the music - and vice versa. I always perceived my sound as something visual. And now you can actually see it - on the shirts and CD artwork!" Lovers of modern club music have noticed: Moguai is not getting tired reinventing himself again and again while at the same time remaining a steady constant in the music business.
What is the secret of his success when others have trouble making ends meet? "I have my roots in techno music, no doubt about that. But I started very early to open my musical mind and chose to play - and even produce - mainly interesting and surprising music that couldn't be pigeonholed in a particular genre. I was independent from trends. And now I am free to experiment with club music and develop my own ideas. PUNX UP THE VOLUME is a reflection of my life right now.
But this is only Volume 1 - it's just the beginning!"

PUNX ist lebendiger denn je und präsentiert sich mit der neuen CD-Compilation von Mastermind Moguai in absoluter Höchstform.
,,PUNX UP THE VOLUME" heißt das gute Stück. Wie die gleichnamige Podcast-Serie, die seit Monaten unzählige Liebhaber und Fans auf der ganzen Welt hat und schon mit einem Innovationspreis ausgezeichnet wurde. Die Konsequenz aus dem enormen Zuspruch war für den DJ, Produzenten und Kreativkopf Moguai, einen ausgedehnten Mix in Top-Soundqualität nachzulegen, der außerdem besondere Extras bietet: ,,Der Mix beinhaltet etliche eigene Tracks, die es bisher noch nicht zu hören gab. Außerdem habe ich viel Wert auf das Artwork und die gesamte Erscheinung dieser Compilation gelegt. Das geht insgesamt alles sehr weit über das hinaus, was viele Leute bisher unter der Marke ,Punx Up The Volume' gewohnt sind", erklärt Moguai, der in den vergangenen Monaten als DJ viele neue Länder bereist und unzählige erfrischende Erfahrungen gemacht hat. Asien - speziell die Gastspiele in Japan - haben ihn stark inspiriert, in den USA verzeichnet er ein stetig wachsendes Interesse an seiner Arbeit. Und die sieht er längst nicht nur aufs DJing und Produzieren beschränkt. ,,Punx ist nicht nur der Name meines Labels, auf dem ich inzwischen in hoher Schlagzahl eigene und spannende Produktionen anderer Künstler veröffentliche. Punx ist ein Lifestyle, ein Lebensgefühl. Die Grundlage ist natürlich die Musik. Daraus entsteht dann aber noch viel mehr", beschreibt Moguai, was die vier Buchstaben für ihn bedeuten und wird dann konkreter: ,,Das Artwork dieser CD-Compilation ist ein Baustein im Punx-Gesamtdesign. Ich habe zusätzlich fünf T-Shirts entworfen, die diesem Design ebenfalls Rechnung tragen und genauso zur Musik gehören - und umgekehrt natürlich. Ich habe meinen Sound immer sehr bildlich verstanden. Und in diesen T-Shirts und im CD-Artwork wird er sichtbar!" Unübersehbar für alle, die sich für moderne Clubmusik interessieren, ist vor allem eines: Moguai wird nicht müde, sich immer wieder neu zu erfinden und gleichzeitig als feste Konstante im Musigeschäft allen Stürmen zu trotzen. Wie gelingt ihm das, während andere Schwierigkeiten haben, den Kopf über dem Wasser zu halten? ,,Ohne Frage liegen meine Wurzeln im Techno. Aber ich habe sehr früh die musikalischen Scheuklappen hinter mir gelassen und vor allem interessante, überraschende Musik ausgesucht und gespielt - und auch produziert - die nicht so leicht in Schubladen zu pressen war. Das hat mich unabhängig von Trends gemacht. Das gibt mir jetzt die Freiheit, meine Vorstellungen von Clubmusik noch weiter zu drehen und zu spinnen. PUNX UP THE VOLUME bringt den Stand der Dinge - so, wie er sich für mich im Moment darstellt - voll auf den Punkt.
Aber das ist erst Volume 1 - und somit nur der Anfang!!"
